Granö Beckasin is an unusual destination by a mighty river in the deep forests of Northern Sweden, about one hour from Umeå. Enjoy one of the guided tours on snow mobile, snowshoes, or wooden skis, and experience the magic of nature and the winter landscape.

To hike on snowshoes is a fantastic experience. No matter how thick the layer of snow is, you can get almost anywhere; through forests, on top of packed ice and across bogs. Our guided tour gives you a unique opportunity to see the winter magic of Västerbotten. You will also walk away with lots of new knowledge about nature and wildlife.

Snowshoe hiking is suitable for most people. You don’t need any previous experience and your guide will adjust the pace to the group.  You need to wear warm winter clothing in layers. We recommend a wool base layer, a windproof winter jacket and insulated trousers (such as ski trousers), two pairs of wool socks, and comfortable winter boots. You should also bring a wool hat, gloves or mittens, and a scarf or face mask on particularly cold days. Also, bring a water bottle and a camera.
