Welcome to Scandinavian Shuffle 2027 in Umeå!
We are honoured to host the 17th Scandinavian Shuffle in Umeå, the capital of northern Sweden.
The main event contains three nights of dancing to live bands plus DJs and will take place from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st of February. The venue for all evening dances is downtown central Umeå, Sweden. Additional activities in and around Umeå will be available also on Thursday 18th and Monday 22nd of February.
Snow and fantastic attendees are guaranteed and there is a good chance of getting a glimpse of the northern lights. There will be opportunities for both indoor and outdoor daytime activities, tasting local delicacies, and learning some northern words and habits.

MUSIC
Our nights will be filled with live and DJ music - with us, Balboa enthusiasts in mind. We have three live bands and a handful of DJs sharing their favourite tunes on stage.
Bands include a Finnish legend Antti Sarpila and his swing band, 20-piece HOS Big Band, and astonishing Elina Kardén & The Riff Tigers.
DJs are our fellow Balboa friends curating their selection of tunes for the best dance night in mind. You will hear selected tunes by DJs: Teemu (Teemuki), Minna (Minni the Moocher), Adam, Carolin (Miss Tillie), Tanja (Swingerter), and Kay.
Tasters
We have open taster classes before each party. Giving us extra inspiration, food for thought, and maybe a few laughs for the night.
On the Friday taster, we have a class with local dance school entrepreneur and slide master Karri. On Saturday and Sunday, we have taster classes by Finnish Balboa pioneers - Sanna & Adam, and Minna & Teemu.
Daytime activities
Yes, we have sauna! And other daytime activities to explore and enjoy the Finnish capital and Nordic lifestyle.
You can visit smoke sauna and dip into frozen Baltic Sea, wonder architecture in Helsinki, prepare for a show on a dance class, thrift shop in many various 2nd hand and vintage shops, and visit local cafes and roasteries. Book your activities upon registration.
