Granö Beckasin is an unusual destination by a mighty river in the deep forests of Northern Sweden, about one hour from Umeå. Enjoy one of the guided tours on snow mobile, snowshoes, or wooden skis, and experience the magic of nature and the winter landscape.

Friday 5 feb, (times approximately 12-17)

Husky ride in northern Sweden. This is a tour for those who want to try driving their own dog sled under the supervision of a guide. You don’t need any prior knowledge of dog sledding or be in top physical condition to manage the tour with ease. We travel through forests and across marshlands.

At the kennel, your group will be welcomed by your guide, and you will be provided with warm clothing, boots, and gloves to borrow. You’ll get to meet the dogs and receive a thorough introduction to dog sledding, including how to handle the sled. You’ll also help harness the dogs before setting off.

You’ll ride the dog sled in pairs, with one person riding as a passenger and the other driving the sled. Halfway through the tour, you’ll have the opportunity to switch places.

Please dress warmly for your dog sledding adventure.
Winter clothing is available to borrow and is included in the price. Please note that the availability of children’s clothing is limited. Contact us if you have any questions.
When temperatures are between –28°C and –32°C, the long dog sledding tour will be shortened to 1.5 hours. At –32°C or below, all tours will be cancelled.

Requirements and safety information

• To drive a dog sled, you must be over 15 years old, at least 155 cm tall, and weigh at least 50 kg.

• For safety reasons, we do not recommend dog sledding during pregnancy. We advise against participating altogether from around week 20 of pregnancy.
